Distractions

Yesterday I read an article about a retired CEO who had hard time learning to live without a secretary or a chauffeur.

Some people might laugh at his helplessness. Seeing someone who has received top salaries for decades having problems with things most of us consider easy or even trivial. There’s a lot of enviousness to feed such thoughts.

However, I began to think how hard and time-consuming these everyday tasks really are. Besides, what I personally find demanding is that they require to remember a huge amount of small things. Someone who’s job is to save large bankrupt companies really shouldn’t waste his time on everyday trivialities.

I you aren’t conscious about it and don’t act, you very likely waste your whole life tangling with everyday distractions. There’s something to really think about.
