Incomplete manifesto, number 33:

33. Take field trips. The bandwidth of the world is greater than that of your TV set, or the Internet, or even a totally immersive, interactive, dynamically rendered, object-oriented, real-time, computer graphic–simulated environment.

is very near to what I’ve planned. I think the problem nowadays is that we receive too little information daily, not too much.

We spend hours with TV or net but actually the amount of information per time unit is very low. I have a theory that if you can’t grasp what someone is really doing, you have to step back until irrelevant details blur. Is he moving his hands or feet? Is he sitting all the time? Does he walk?

Before I read this manifesto, I had a slogan of my own for this week. It stated:

Less interaction online. More interaction offline. Using more senses than just vision enables you to receive information you’re not expecting. Information that may really teach you something you haven’t known before.
